PRINT & FINISHING
The production process of high-quality books and brochures is our main focus. Here we can contribute our experience from the initial consultation to the design up to the complete production chain. We love the printed products we produce and we want them to be loved by their readers.

Our print shop includes printing units in formats up to 72 x 102 cm from Heidelberg and MAN Roland, with inline dispersion varnishing and die-cutting, optimal color measurement with Heidelberg Imagecontrol as well as Inpresscontrol in the press, small-format machines for short runs, numbering, embossing and die-cutting as well as letterpress applications and digital printing machines for short runs & personalization.
Digital printing
Digital printing does not require a printing plate, as the print image is transferred directly from a computer to the printing machine (Non-Impact-Printing/ Direct Digital Printing). This makes it possible to print small and/or personalised runs at low cost. Even high-volume catalogues or brochures can be personalised individually. Our digital printing machine uses powdered toner for printing.
Printing on demand
You have the possibility to have a digital print produced cost-effectively starting at one piece. We have set up a print on demand platform for you where you can store data and, if required, have the exact number of pieces printed.
Offset printing
Even today, offset printing is still the most widely used printing process in Germany, as it is the highest quality and most mature production process. A distinction is made between sheet-fed offset and web offset (in our case a sheet-fed offset press). In this case no real halftones can be reproduced, so printing is done with a screen which can be identified through a linen tester. You can have up to five colours printed by us, including dispersion varnish in a sixth unit. In addition, the printed image has beautiful, clear edges.
Finishing
There are dozens of different refinements that you can use to make your product something special. This does not only include varnishing or embossing - no, for us even punching or engraving is no problem.
Embossing can be high or low embossing, a relief form or an embossing die is created which is pressed into the substrate. This results in a three-dimensional motif or structure that makes the product look much more noble.

In lamination, also known as cellophaning, the surface is covered or coated with a thin plastic film. This protects the product from moisture, scratches or marks.

Varnish
The varnish is applied either in the last printing unit of the press or afterwards. This enhances the surface quality, protects against abrasion and yellowing and has a slightly water-repellent effect. It also makes the inks brighter and the contours sharper.

The Drip Off works through the interaction of a special, matt print varnish and a glossy varnish printed over the entire surface. Where the glossy coating meets the matt coating, it drips off and the surface remains matt. This creates effective matt/gloss effects without the use of expensive coating plates.

If you use a scented coating for your print product, you can appeal to your customers emotionally and evoke certain memories or trigger feelings in them. It is best applied by screen printing, so that the layer is thick enough and can emit a strong scent.

The edges of your product can also be finished, it is called edge painting. This includes not only books (as known from old bibles) but especially invitation and business cards. All shades of colour as well as metallic colours like silver and gold can be used to colour the pages.

Foil or Paint
A stamp presses the foil onto the substrate under heat and high pressure, hence the name hot foil stamping. The product has a high quality appearance, the embossing has a nice shine and makes it stand out from the rest.

In cold foil stamping, the foil is, as the name suggests, cold pressed onto the substrate. It is not quite as glossy as hot foil stamping but has a more precise fit and can be printed afterwards with hybrid and UV inks.

Laminating
Laminating is the process of joining two or more layers of different or identical materials together. On the one hand this increases stability, on the other hand it can be used to create beautiful and useful effects. For example you can laminate coloured cardboard and white paper.
Laser Cutting
In laser cutting, filigree forms or lettering are cut out of the paper. In this way extraordinary products can be created, you can look through or see what is underneath. Especially suitable for business cards or Christmas cards. Possible with paper from 40 g/m² up to 3 mm thick cardboard.
Grooving and perforating are now an integral part of the finishing process. Grooving is mainly used for thicker paper and cardboard so that it can be folded more easily. Perforating can be used for various products, for example a detachable form or similar.

Silkscreen printing is a tried and tested process that still enjoys great popularity today. Many different materials can be printed with different colours, so you can achieve beautiful effects. In this process, ink is drawn over a screen so that it is applied to the substrate through the gaps.
